Realistic House Plant Cupcake by Alana Jones-Mann
Inspired by a gardening project, Brooklyn-based baker Alana Jones-Mann decided to make cupcakes that look like common miniature cacti. Using frosting, green food coloring and of course, baking talent, Alana successfully made a bunch of cacti cupcake cuteness and even planted them on soil (crushed graham crackers). These realistic cacti cupcake are made with such impressive details that some of them even appear sharp to the touch. If you like those edible cacti and want to make your own, head on over to Alana Jones-Mann’s blog and find the step-by-step tutorial.
There may come a day when I do not reblog this. This is not that day.
golden words from the 17-year-old Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai
This photo was taken over 20 years ago by Todd Robertson during a KKK rally in northeast Georgia. One of the boys approached a black state trooper, who was holding his riot shield on the ground. Seeing his reflection, the boy reached for the shield, and Robertson snapped the photo.
I think the officer’s expression says it all. This child standing before him is being taught how to hate even though he doesn’t understand it. He probably doesn’t understand the difference between this and Halloween.
If any post on my blog gets really big, I hope it’s this one.
this is really fucking sad
i think of everything we learn without even noticing
"They might as well have said, ‘We can’t let our child go back to wherever the hell it is we’re from, let’s shoot it.’”
My roommate and I are really sick and we look like shit, but we were hungry so we ordered pizza.
But we didn’t want anyone to see us, so we asked them over the phone if we can leave the money on the door and they can just drop off the pizza.
The guy said sure.
So we decided to leave a nice little note
and we hung it above the door bell. I hope they like it!
pizza spelt its own name wrong
while my prof was setting up for his lecture…
excuse me while I reblog this for the 36th time
why is this the first time this has been on my dash
I do not understand how this accurate statement could be offensive… Thanks!
(I am secretly blushing on the inside. I really don’t get compliments often. Thank you kind person.)
So in love with ALL of this from Girl Code’s race episode.
